Olive pomace oil

Olive pomace oil is the product made from olives once their oil has been extracted by grinding in oil mills. This oil shares its fatty acid composition with olive oil and once refined is enriched with virgin olive oil to enhance the aroma, flavour and qualities of the final product, which is Olive Pomace Oil.

This type of oil accounts for around 10% of the olive oil produced in Spain. It is ideal for use in frying, since it is specially prepared to withstand high temperatures and bring out the natural flavours of foodstuffs to make them more appetising while maintaining the essential properties of olive oil.

These beneficial effects are supplemented by another important factor; its price, as this kind of oil is considerably cheaper than other olive oils. Although it is not at the same level as olive oil, olive pomace oil is a competitive alternative to other oils such as corn, soybean or even sunflower oil.
